A Life Lived For God
By the abundant grace of the Almighty, Bro. N. Ananda Rao Garu completes 89 remarkable years of life — a journey that began in the small town of Chinnaganjam and expanded to nations across the world.
Born to Nandigam Moses and Devadanamma, he grew up in a Baptist Christian family, attending Sunday school from childhood, memorising scripture, and learning to play the harmonium. Little did anyone know that the young boy playing hymns on the harmonium at village gospel meetings would one day become one of the most faithful servants of God in Telugu Brethren churches.
His Walk with God
In 1956, while studying Secondary Teacher Training at the ABM School in Bapatla, he returned home for holidays. That night, at a gospel meeting in Chinnaganjam, the words of Jesus pierced his heart:
“Where I go, you cannot come… if you die in your sins, you cannot come where I am.”
He wept, repented, and surrendered his life to Christ. He was baptised in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and began breaking bread every Sunday with fellow believers.

A Testimony of Faithfulness
His grandson Michael testifies that watching his grandfather’s life reminds him of Abraham in Hebrews 11:8-10 — a man who went out not knowing where he was going, looking for a city whose builder and maker is God.
Bro. N. Ananda Rao Garu is that man — still standing, still faithful, still finishing strong.
“He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.”
— Philippians 1:6
